PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling insect pests designed to diffuse an atomized chemical with an ultrasonic oscillator over a wide range. SOLUTION: The apparatus for controlling the insect pests is equipped with an apparatus body 1 in which a fan 7 is installed in the interior and diffusing air flows through the interior so as not to disturb the diffusion of the chemical, a housing container 5 for a control liquid for the insect pests installed in the apparatus body 1 and housing the control liquid 4 for the insect pests and the ultrasonic oscillator 6 for atomizing the control liquid 4 for the insect pests in the housing container 5 for the control liquid for the insect pests. The chemical atomized from the housing container 5 for the control liquid for the insect pests is diffused into a room with the fan 7. An air current in the room or a heat source, etc., for producing a rising air current in an air passage in the apparatus body are utilized in place of the fan 7 to diffuse the atomized chemical in the room.
