The invention provides a communication continuation system for enabling the communication before handover to be continued after handover when a mobile node is moved from one network to another. The invention relates to a mobile node and a gateway for use in the communication in which the IP address of the mobile node is changed by handover, in which a connection management module for the mobile node and the gateway stores the connection information before handover for the mobile node, and associates it with the connection information after handover, thereby enabling the communication before handover to be continued after handover.
