A multiple carrier radio data transmission procedure has coding instructions to code a known symbol (1) at known positions and maximum power in the code vector (h01, h73) independently of the data to create orthogonal code vectors using a Walsh-Hadamard matrix so that the receiver can use it for channel estimation for the known sub carriers.
