PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow display concerning a section selected at present to coincide in a section editing screen and a tree screen by synchronizing the section editing screen for displaying contents with the tree screen for indicating a hierarchical structure.

SOLUTION: The partial program of a user program generated by division is hierarchized in sections and managed. The names of the hierarchized sections are displayed as a tree structure on the tree screen G1 at the left side of a display screen. The concrete contents of one or a plurality of the sections are displayed by the form of a multi-window on the section editing screen G2 at the right side. The prescribed section editing screen is selected by clicking to get an active window. Then the section name of the section as the active window is detected, and the section name on the tree screen is displayed by emphasis.
