<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a projective display device which is capable of projecting images that are high in image quality and whose colors and gradation are high in fidelity to input images, causes leakage light little, and is capable of displaying images in high contrast. <P>SOLUTION: Through a signal processing circuit 12 and a signal conversion circuit 13, video signals are converted into secondary primary color information, such as a red color R2, a green color G2, and a blue color B2, and a coefficient M that multiplies them by itself and displayed. A first light bulb 7 and a second light bulb 9 which are optically and conjugately arranged along an optical path are driven respectively on the basis of the coefficient M and the second primary color information, R2, G2, and B2, to modulate projected light optically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
