PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase such a thrust of a rectilinear drive that a magnetic attraction, acting between a secondary member and a primary member is compensated for, while being compact in structure by fitting a plurality of magnetic pole teeth. SOLUTION: This rectilinear drive, provided with the primary member 10 having cores 11a, 11b formed out of a magnetic substance and a winding 12 wound around the cores 11a, 11b; and a secondary member 20 supported so as to relatively move via a gap from the primary member 10, comprises the winding 12 between the adjacent magnetic pole teeth 13a, 14a in addition to the winding 12 wound around the cores 11a, 11b in common.
