PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor with cogging torque reduced to such extent as it is applied to an EPS motor. SOLUTION: The brushless motor A uses a permanent magnet in a rotor 1, wherein the permanent magnet is magnetized by trapezoidal wave magnetization. In the trapezoidal wave magnetization, a generating cycle of the cogging torque is arranged to be almost half as compared with the generating cycle of the cogging torque generated when the permanent magnet with trapezoidal wave magnetization is used.
