PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having a proper pigment dispersion characteristic and capable of obtaining a proper image. SOLUTION: The toner includes at least the pigment and a binder resin, and has the volume mean particle size Dv of 4-10μm, the ratio (Dv/Dp) of the volume mean particle size to the number average particle size Dp of 1-1.4, the mean roundness of 0.95-0.995, and the base number of 0.1-7 mgHCl/g.
