PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate fixing of a fitting bracket to the end of a reinforcement for an instrument panel made of an aluminum alloy hollow extruded material. SOLUTION: A fixing hole 23 is formed on the bracket 22. The end of the hollow extruded material 21 is penetrated through the fitting hole 23 and is enlarged in diameter by electromagnetic molding. The part of the extruded material end located on the outside of the hole 23 is enlarged in diameter to form a flange 24, which is stuck firmly on the outside surface 22a of the bracket 22. The part 21b located on the interior of the hole 23 is enlarged in diameter and is stuck firmly on the inner surface 23a of the hole 23. The part 21c located on the inside of the hole 23 is enlarged in diameter to form a stepped part 21d, which is stuck firmly on the inside surface 22b of the bracket 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
