PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new heat developable photosensitive material excellent in suitability to printout and having improved raw stock preservability. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on the same plane of a support, wherein a silver iodide content of the photosensitive silver halide is 40-100 mol%, and heat development is performed within a development time of 12 s. Alternatively, the heat developable photosensitive material has a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on the same surface of a support, wherein a silver iodide content of the photosensitive silver halide is 40-100 mol%.
