PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner whose dust collecting performance is stable irrespective of an operating time. SOLUTION: A filter 17a is fitted inside a dust collecting chamber 18 and filtrates dust in the air taken into the chamber. The dust sticking to the filter 17a is released in the operation of the cleaner by using a dust releasing means 21 and a release promoter 34a which reduces the pressure of a blower 11 applied on the filter 17a.
