The cap-shaped printing stamp housing is for a stamp frame (10), in which a stamp plate (30) and an ink cushion (20) are arranged. The ink cushion is movable through a window (14) in the stamp frame. The housing has at least one engagement body (55) movably arranged in an aperture (54) of the stamp housing, being able to work in conjunction with counter engagement devices (16,17) of the stamp housing. In the wall of the stamp housing a recess is provided, which is larger than the window of the stamp frame. The stamp housing has at least one covering (56) which deforms the engagement body, causing it to lock, freeing the recess of the stamp housing.
