<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform thickness reduction and weight reduction of a liquid crystal display mounted on a portable electronic device without damaging mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display has a first plastic substrate, a light emitting element disposed on the first plastic substrate, resin covering the light emitting element, an insulating film in contact with the resin, a semiconductor element in contact with the insulating film, a liquid crystal cell electrically connected to the semiconductor element and a second plastic substrate and is characterized in that the semiconductor element and the liquid crystal cell are provided between the first and the second plastic substrates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
