DIGITAL TO ANALOG CONVERTER AND MICROCOMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital to analog converter capable of reducing hardware quantity and dispensing with RAM saving of a conversion result by software.

SOLUTION: First and second analog signals to be used for rotor position detection of a motor are converted respectively by an A/D converter 102 continuously in this order and first and second digital signals as conversion results are stored in a conversion result storage register 105. When the second digital signal is stored in the conversion result storage register 105, the first digital signal stored in the conversion result storage register 105 is simultaneously stored in a conversion result backup register 106. Motor control is realized by one A/D converter without performing timing management by the software by making each of a trigger of a conversion starting factor and a control register into a plurality, storing each piece of control information about A/D conversion of motor current and about A/D conversion of various temperature measurement signals and setting the trigger as a synchronizing signal.
