<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method capable of obtaining stable density even in the case of forming an image by using a heat developable photosensitive film which deteriorates with a lapse of time, and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with a heat developable photosensitive film loading means, an exposure means, a thermal developing means, a 1st control means for controlling the exposure means and/or the thermal developing means, a measuring means for measuring the density of the developed film, a calibration means for forming an LUT for defining the density of the outputted image, a storage means for exposing with the light quantity calculated by the LUT and also storing the density measurement result, a 1st estimating means for calculating and holding the change of film properties based on the storage means, a 2nd control means for controlling the exposure means and/or the thermal developing means based on the 1st estimating means, an erasing means for completely clearing the change of film properties held by the 1st estimating means, and in the case of restarting an image forming operation after the standstill of the apparatus, the apparatus is controlled by the 1st control means and the 2nd control means.
