PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical control device capable of creating an efficient and optimized tool passage by considering the variation of the shape of a cutting material due to machining. SOLUTION: This numerical control device is so structured that a pocket shape inside envelope curve offset to the inside of the pocket shape by the length of the tool radius is generated and used as the tool passage; another envelope curve offset further inward by the length of the tool radius is generated; a still another envelope curve offset outward from the resultantly generated envelope curve by a predetermined length is generated to use it as the next tool passage inside the above tool passage; the generation of the envelope curve is repeated by using, as the pocket shape inside envelope curve, the envelope curve used as the tool passage; and thus the tool passages are generated by considering the shape variation of the cutting material due to machining.
