ARTIFICIAL AGGREGATE AND CONCRETE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial aggregate which can be stably supplied and to which functionality can be imparted, and to provide concrete using the same. SOLUTION: The artificial aggregate 3 is obtained by mixing an additive 5 with a thermally melted thermoplastic resin to obtain a molten mixture, and then crushing a solid material 2 formed by the solidification of the molten mixture. It is possible to impart a new function not found in a conventional aggregate to the artificial aggregate 3. For example, the density of the aggregate can be controlled when iron powder is used as the additive 5, or the artificial aggregate 3 having a high thermal conductivity can be obtained when a copper powder is used.
