ANTICODON-BASED LIBRARIES AND MOLECULES FOR THE SPECIFIC SHOTGUN AND/OR DIRECT TARGETING OF, AND/OR INTERACTION WITH CELLS, TISSUES, SURFACES, MATERIALS, MOLECULES, AND ENERGY FIELDS

A method for creating or developing molecular libraries whose constituent molecules are specific in their binding to a particular target, and using the entire library, or the one or more individual molecular species in the library, to reach a diagnostic, therapeutic or other endpoint. The method uses a nucleic acid ( or similar) chain to act as a coding sequence ( codamer) to direct the specific synthesis of a dependent (anticodamer) chain. The anticodamer chain need not consist of conventional nucleic acids, and may include any number or type of chemical moieties. Anticodamers can be used as anticodamer libraries or as single molecular species to accomplish a variety of functions.
