Line has longitudinal helical coil (20) enclosing guide wire cavity, held in sleeve (22). Distal end, point or ring electrode stimulator or sensor (36) is joined conductively at proximal end to electrical line. Sleeve at proximal end is enclosed in helical coil turns and distally joined to lip seal (44). Sleeve (34) is joined electrically to distal end of point electrode whose stimulation or sensing electrode outer surface (38) projects beyond lip and seal. At its distal end the line mounts an outwards-open steroid reservoir (32) and the line diameter is about 2 mm from the distal end over most of its length.
