PURPOSE: A method for controlling screen display for reading a book with a computer is provided to reduce the fatigue of eyes caused by watching a monitor for a long time, and make a user conveniently read the book or a document by largely improving the inconveniences of a present computer program. CONSTITUTION: After reading the document, the document is output to the screen by following the contents of a theme automatically applied to a new document(S201). It is judged that the user wants to make a view environment fit to a form of the document(S202). In case that the user wants to make the view environment, the user selects one from the previous themes and modifies the partial items of the theme contents if necessary(S203). Thus, the document is formed in the form easy to make the user read the screen(S204).
