PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processing technology through which the correction of chromatic aberration functions well and the correction of chromatic aberration can be carried out efficiently, and to reduce a storage capacity of a parameter for correcting chromatic aberration. SOLUTION: For an image signal obtained from an imaging element 21, an image processing section 22 is arranged to perform processing for correcting the chromatic aberration of an imaging optical system 31 simultaneously with processing for interpolating a missing color component of each pixel. A control section 25 is arranged to determine, based on the positional information of a pixel acquired from the image processing section 22, an image filter applied to that pixel.
