PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of handling operation by advancing a machine body by operation near a handling operation part without using a complicate link structure in a combine harvester. SOLUTION: The combine harvester is equipped with a threshing part for threshing unhulled rice of reaped grain culms, left and right crawler traveling apparatuses for supporting the machine body of the combine harvester, a traveling transmission for straightly traveling and turning the combine harvester by driving these left and right crawler traveling apparatuses, a main transmission shift lever installed in a driving operation part for carrying out driving operation of the combine harvester, an actuation amount-detecting means for detecting the actuation amount of the main transmission shift lever, a transmission shift actuator for carrying out transmission shift of a hydraulic continuously variable gear installed in the traveling transmission, a transmission shift control means for carrying out transmission shift operation of the hydraulic continuously variable gear through the transmission shift actuator based on a detected value of the actuation amount-detecting means, and a handling operation part provided in the threshing part. In the apparatus for controlling the combine harvester, an advancing operation means is installed in the vicinity of the handling operation part. When the advancing operation means is operated, the advancing operation means is linked to a transition shift control means so as to advance the combine harvester. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
