A blind connection (8) of the offgas sector (7) is as long as the root of its sectional area. The blind connection can also be fitted to the burner (5) or mix line (4), or again two such connections can be used. In any event the blind connection should join sector (7), burner (5) or line (4) where the vibration anti-node occurs. The connection (8) can vary in length and is filled in part with sound-absorbing material, in this case topped by a membrane, at the open end (16) of the connection (8).
