PURPOSE: A method for converting a short text message written in other language on a mobile communication terminal is provided to convert a received text message to be identical with a receiver language according to an alphabet code conversion table, so that a receiver can understand the received text message. CONSTITUTION: A received short text message(201) is analyzed through coding schemes of a language converter, and is compared with a language of a receiver terminal(212). The short text message(201) is converted into the receiver's language(213). The short text message(201) is converted to be identical with an alphabet code of the receiver terminal comprised within an alphabet code conversion table(219) of a basic setup language storage(210). When the message(201) is completely converted(213), the message(201) is reconfigured into an SMS message, and is processed in SMS through a short message processor(220). |
