System and method for electronic transmission and billing of information data

The system provides a facility for the transmission and cost calculation of information handled by a broadcasting system to a user. The system handles in particular video and music data. In basic form the transmissions are received by stationary units ,e.g. a TV (20), and by a mobile unit , e.g. a laptop computer (21). A further link to a mobile phone can be provided by a short wavelength link such as Bluetooth.
