PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new composition good in absorption of saccharides even in a low-sodium or a sodium-free composition. SOLUTION: This composition of absorbefacient saccharides is capable of well absorbing the saccharides in the composition in vivo even in a low-sodium or a sodium-free composition and comprises a peptide mixture, fractionated from a lactoferrin hydrolyzate and having the following properties: (a) the residual peptide mixture after separating an antimicrobial peptide from the lactoferrin hydrolyzate; (b) without manifesting antimicrobial activities in vitro and (c) having activities in promoting the absorption of the saccharides both in vivo and in vitro. |
