Wall and chimney connecting strip (1) comprises a first layer (2) made from a deformable material and a second layer (4) made from an open-pored material. The second layer is impregnated with a material which absorbs a first aggregate state under a first condition and a second aggregate state under a second condition. A third layer (3) made from an open-pored material is also provided which is penetrated with a material having a first aggregate state under a first condition and a second aggregate state under a second condition. The first layer is arranged between the second and third layers.
