In order to provide a disposable resectoscope electrode for use with high frequency electrical sources, there is provided a resectoscope electrode comprising a cutting element 2 mounted on arms 3. At a junction 7, the arms are connected to a longitudinally extending electrical conductor 4. The junction is injection moulded in situ out of PEEK. The junction comprises a mounting 8 for a resectoscope assembly. <IMAGE>
