The invention relates to a rolled aluminium product, such as a plate, sheet or strip, having a rolling direction, transverse direction and normal direction and having a texture with an ND rotated cube component, the ND rotated cube component of the grains being defined as CND = { 001 } <uvw>, with a permitted spread of 11.0<°> between the ideal orientation and the measured orientation of the grains. According to the invention, in the section of the product halfway along the dimension of the product in the normal direction, the measured intensity of ND rotated cube component is at least double and at most 50 times higher than the measured intensity of the ND rotated cube component of isotropic aluminium. The invention also relates to a rolled product made from austenitic stainless steel having a texture of this type. |
