PROCESS FOR PREPARING GRANULAR SODIUM PERCARBONATE

PURPOSE: A process for preparing granular sodium percarbonate having required physical properties without separate granulation process by controlling size of sodium percarbonate grains irrespective of granular size of sodium percarbonate used is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a process of preparing granular sodium percarbonate by producing sodium percarbonate by reacting sodium carbonate with hydrogen peroxide solution and fluid bed drying the produced sodium percarbonate, the process for preparing granular sodium percarbonate is characterized in that the sodium carbonate is free moisture-anhydrous sodium carbonate containing 5 to 10% of water for weight of sodium carbonate anhydrous, and sodium percarbonate is produced by spraying hydrogen peroxide solution and injecting air onto the sprayed hydrogen peroxide solution at the same time, wherein the free moisture-anhydrous sodium carbonate is prepared by reacting sodium carbonate anhydrous with 5 to 10 wt.% of water for weight of the sodium carbonate anhydrous in the temperature range of 15 to 30 deg.C, wherein the sodium carbonate is reacted with hydrogen peroxide in the reactor inner temperature range of 20 to 80 deg.C, wherein the air is injected into the reactor in an injection rate of 2 to 8 m¬3/min per 1 m¬3 of reactor capacity, wherein the sodium carbonate is reacted with hydrogen peroxide by controlling moisture content of reactant to 5 to 20%, and wherein sodium percarbonate is continuously produced by recirculating irregular grains produced after fluid bed drying the sodium percarbonate into a reaction vessel for producing sodium percarbonate.
