PURPOSE: Provided are a resin composition for fireproof glass which shows excellent thermal insulation and integrity, and does not generate a gas harmful to human, when fired, and is normally transparent and thus secures the visibility of glass. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition comprises 40-80 wt% of silicate or modified silicate, 1-10 wt% of alkali compound, 5-30 wt% of silica, 0.5-40 wt% of phosphate compound, and 1-20 wt% of antifreeze. The alkali compound is one or two or more selected from NaOH, KOH and Ca(OH)2, silica is one or two or more selected from fumed silica, white silica, silica sol, and micronized silica. The phosphate compound is one or two or more selected from potassium phosphate, potassium phosphate II, and potassium phosphate III. The antifreeze is one or two or more selected from glycerin, NaCl, and CaCl2.
