<p>A method for detecting a substance to be detected in a sample is characterized in that carriers suspended in a solution, each having a shape such that the carrier does not move duplicatingly with respect to the cross section of a hollow tube for signal detection formed in signal detecting means for detecting a signal A and a signal B when the solution is made to flow through the tube, and each having the identifiable signal A coupled to a substance (hereinafter referred to as a coupler) that has a capability of coupling to the substance to be detected through a spacer or not through a spacer and a sample containing the substance to be detected are mixed together, thereby the substance to be detected is coupled to the couplers, a signal B is formed on each carrier by the coupling, the solution, i.e., the suspension of the carriers is made to flow through the tube by solution supply means communicating with the hollow tube, the signals A, B are detected by the signal detecting means, and the signal A is related with the signal B.</p> |
