THERAPEUTIC DNA VACCINE FOR TUBERCULOSIS AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A therapeutic DNA vaccine for tuberculosis and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same are provided, thereby continuously inducing immune response, so that possibility of tuberculosis relapse can be reduced, and reducing the therapy period when it is used in combination with the conventional chemotherapy. CONSTITUTION: The therapeutic DNA vaccine for tuberculosis comprises the signal sequence of Herpes simplex virus type I glycoprotein D(gD) having the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1 and Ag85A gene having the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:2, wherein the therapeutic DNA vaccine for tuberculosis is a vector pGX10-Ag85A(KCTC 10418BP) which is prepared by inserting the signal sequence of Herpes simplex virus type I glycoprotein D(gD) of SEQ ID NO:1 and Ag85A gene of SEQ ID NO:2 into a vector pGX10. The pharmaceutical composition contains the therapeutic DNA vaccine for tuberculosis and tuberculosis treating agent selected from isoniazid(INH), pyrazinamide(PZA), rifampin, streptomycin and ethanmbutol.
