IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE FOR DRIVING EACH CCD IN AN OPTIMAL CONDITION

PURPOSE: An image pickup device is provided to drive each CCD(Charge Couple Device) in an optimal condition and smoothly perform operation conversion between CCDs. CONSTITUTION: The first CCD(20a) accumulates information loads generated in response to the first object image in a plurality of light receiving elements. The second CCD(20b) accumulates information loads generated in response to the second object image in a plurality of the light receiving elements. A register(30) stores the first and second setup data designating the driving condition of the first and second CCDs. A driving control circuit having the first and second driving circuits and a timing control circuit(26) controls the operation of the first and second CCDs according to the first and second setup data stored in the register.
