PURPOSE: A CRT separation apparatus is provided to achieve improved efficiency of separation without the need of changing components or settings for different types of cathode ray tubes. CONSTITUTION: A CRT separation apparatus comprises a high frequency power(1); a transformer(3) having a primary side and a secondary side; a first conductor(2) for electrically connecting the high frequency power and the primary side of the transformer; a separation cable electrically connected to the secondary side of the transformer; a support guide(5) for supporting the separation cable at a fixed position; a movable guide(6) for covering the separation cable around a cathode ray tube(9); and a tension guide(7) for providing tension forces to the separation cable. The transformer has an iron core(3a) on which the first conductor is wound. The separation cable is wound on the iron core as a secondary coil.
