PURPOSE: A magnet fixing unit of a lid for a washing machine is provided to prevent noise and damage of the magnet or the fixing unit, and to restrict movement of the magnet by inserting the magnet to the magnet insertion hole conveniently. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine includes a body having an input hole for putting the laundry in, a lid(40) opening and closing the laundry input hole, and a magnet(60) mounted in the lid to detect opening and closing of the lid. A magnet insertion groove part(50) is formed in the lid to insert and fit the magnet, and the width between both sides of the inlet of the magnet insertion groove part is formed to be larger than the width of the magnet. A side wall(56) is composed of a staple shaped fixing wall(54) opening in the front of the lid, and an elastic wall(52) spaced from the fixing wall and elastically bent in inserting the magnet. Plural hooks(58) are formed in the upper part of the fixing wall to restrict displacement of the magnet, and an inclined part(54b) is formed in the fixing wall. |
