摘要 FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves using easily available equipment like computer with Windows-9X operation system, 16-bit acoustic card, phonograph program like Wave Editor, microphone, monitor unit, printer unit and audiometer. Patient acoustic sensitivity is determined and recorded depending on his voice intensity varying in supplying mixed tonality noise of 80 dB from the audiometer into the ear under study. The set of actions is applied in the following order. 1. The patient is accommodated in an armchair with headphones connected to the audiometer. 2. Arbitrary text is given for being read into microphone. 3. Phonogram recording is started on the computer. 4. Mixed tonality noise of 80 dB is supplied to patient ear under study via the audiometer. 5. Phonogram recording is continued and represented on the computer monitor. 6. The phonogram is outputted to the printer. Phonogram amplitude being unchanged, deafness in the ear under study or high degree hearing loss is considered to be the case. Phonogram amplitude growing high, it is to be concluded that the patient malingers deafness or hearing loss. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy and quickness in detecting deafness malingering and hearing loss aggravation both in one or both ears; documentable test results. ^ 3 dwg
