The folding wheelchair has a tubular frame with a rear frame (2), a seat articulated to the rear frame and two sideframes (14,15) supporting the seat. Each sideframe is hinged to the rear frame and can be folded flat. A footrest (26) is hinged to the lower forward end of one of the sideframes and hooks onto the other.
