PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and a receiving method capable of supporting a changing work of reservation information by a user by displaying competive reservation information when competition arises between mutual pieces of reservation information. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with an input means 19 for inputting the reservation information, a recording means 18 for recording the reservation information inputted by the input means 19, a discrimination means 17 for discriminating the reservation information competing with the reservation information inputted by the input means 19 among pieces of the reservation information recorded in the recording means 18 and a display means 13 for displaying the reservation information discriminated by the discrimination means 17.
