CONNECTION DEVICE TO IEEE 1394 SERIAL BUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fact that data reception from a connection device on the transmitting side by synchronous transfer is disabled owing to a failure of resource release of a band and a channel at the time of stop of the synchronous transfer in a data receiving type connection device such as a printer which can be connected with an IEEE 1394 serial bus. SOLUTION: The connection device is constituted so that resources of the band and the channel on the bus are acquired (S2) in place of the connecting device on the transmitting side when a connection device on the receiving side detects that physical connection with the connection device on the transmitting side via a bus is completed and bus reset is completed (YES in S1) and the resources of the band and the channel on the bus are not released even when the synchronous transfer of the data from the connecting device on the transmitting side is stopped (S4).
