PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover paper into a fixed section for handling without collecting cassettes delivered from an evaluation machine of each set by an operator. SOLUTION: This paper handling device is provided with a plurality of evaluation machines 11 which determine whether paper is good or not and store the paper which is determined to be not good in the cassette for delivery, a first set 1 to an eighth set 8 having connection conveyors 13 connected with these evaluation machines 11, respectively, and receiving the cassette carried out from the evaluation machines for conveyance and a multi-purpose conveyor 15 receiving the cassette carried out from these connection conveyors 13 for conveyance, a recovery conveyor 17 receiving the cassettes carried out from the multi-purpose conveyor 15 of these sets 1 to 8, respectively, and conveying them to a predetermined position, and a handling machine 32 handling paper in the cassettes conveyed into an RS chamber 30 by the recovery conveyor 17.
