According to the invention, cashless payment transactions carried out by means of a credit card account are verified by the following steps: a) storage (10) of a mobile terminal call number associated with the credit card account, b) initiation and authorisation of the transaction at a terminal (1), c) billing of the transaction by an electronic data communication (6, 20) between the terminal (1) and a computer (2) at the processing centre, and d) immediate transmission (30) of a message to the stored mobile terminal call number via a wireless data channel of the mobile terminal interface (5). In addition a plausibility check of credit card transactions can take place by means of the following steps: initiation of a credit card transaction at an electronic terminal (1), essentially immediate detection of the location of a mobile terminal (3) provided with an identification number that is assigned to the credit card and comparison of the location of the terminal (1) with the location of the mobile terminal (3). |
