A load bearing joint for construction equipment, e.g. to fit a bucket to an excavator, has the pivot bolt (1) set through the linkage and provided with cross slots near the protruding ends. The forked (9) end of a securing tag (2) is slid into pairs of slots each end of the bolt and held in place by bending the free ends of the forks inwards. The other end of the tag has a hole or slot (8) to secure the tag onto the linkage using threaded fasteners. No welding is required, nor any post welding treatment.
