Method involves: description of the environment using interference impulse functions each with at least an impulse defining or impulse pattern defining parameter; measurement of the actual interference environment; statistical evaluation of the real environment; calculation of impulse or impulse pattern defining parameters using the results of the statistical evaluation and; application of calculated impulse functions to the wiring system. An independent claim is made for an interference environment simulation device for a motor vehicle wiring system (1) that is used supply power and transmit data between components (2).
