PURPOSE: An electronic energy saving device equipped with a microprocessor or a CPU, and a method for the same are provided to operate the microprocessor or the CPU at the maximum speed under an influence of an input signal, and convert a complete power cut-off mode instead of a sleep mode when the input signal is terminated. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(3) is connected to a trigger module(4) and a system board module(5) in order to transfer the input signal to both modules. The trigger module receives the input signal from the input module, and triggers operation of the system board module, a power module(6), and a system-board module switch(7) having the microprocessor or the CPU. The power module is connected to the system-board module switch and supplies power to the electronic energy saving device(2). If the system-board module switch is turned on, the power module operates the microprocessor or the CPU at the maximum speed by supplying the power for the microprocessor or the CPU of the system board module.
