<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body recognition device capable of correctly performing registration / collation / updating even when a human body is replaced in the middle of performing the registration / collation / updating and preventing malfunctions by the erroneous recognition of the human body. <P>SOLUTION: The human body recognition device for recognizing an individual by utilizing the biological feature information of the human body is provided with a human body replacement deciding means for deciding whether or not the human body is replaced and a control means for changing information to be used for a recognition processing in the case of deciding the replacement of the human body.
