<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the life of the battery of a cellular phone with positional information function from becoming shorter due to positioning. <P>SOLUTION: The cellular phone 1 is provided with a power source block 21 having a battery 20 and a power source control unit 19 which monitors the voltage of the battery 20, a GPS radio section 17 which receives radio wave signals transmitted from a plurality of GPS satellites, and a GPS decoder section 16 which decodes the radio wave signals received by means of the GPS radio section 17. The phone 1 is also provided with a GPS block 18 which localizes the present location based on the decoded radio wave signals, and a CPU 11 which controls the number of executing times of localization by using a statistic method executed by the GPS block 18 for outputting the results of one time of localization. The CPU 11 confirms the voltage of the battery 20 monitored by means of the power source control unit 19 and changes the number of executing times of localization executed for outputting the result of one time of localization in accordance with the voltage of the battery 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
