<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential device for improving fuel economy, and improving the problems of reduction in the service life and an increase in cost by using a low torque bearing instead of a conical roller bearing. <P>SOLUTION: This differential device has a pair of rolling bearings for rotatably supporting a differential case 5 by a differential carrier 1. Among the pair of rolling bearings, the bearing on the distant side from a meshing position of at least a pinion gear and a ring gear is formed of an obliquely contacting ball bearing 11 of a grease sealed form. Either one of oil seals 41 and 42 arranged on both ends of this obliquely contacting ball bearing 11 is fixed to an outer race 17, and the other is fixed to an inner race 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
