<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor for speedily reading fingerprints. <P>SOLUTION: The fingerprint read sensor comprises first and second substrates 5, 6; bit lines BL1-BLm and word lines WL1-WLn formed between the first and second substrates 5, 6; and a plurality of circuits formed between the first and second substrates 5, 6.
