CLOSURE FOR COMMUNICATION CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure for a communication cable that improves workability of switching and sectioning work and the like of an optical fiber core wire and that can shorten the working hours.

SOLUTION: The closure 3 for the communication cable comprises a suspension member 10 attached to a suspension wire 1, and a hook member 9 capable of moving up and down on the suspension member and that can be fixed to the suspension member at a position by a proper securing member. The closure for the communication cable is structured with the suspension member attached to the suspension wire and the hook member capable of moving up and down on the suspension member and that can be fixed to the suspension member at a position by the appropriate securing member, so that, unlike the closure of the prior art, it is not required to detach the whole closure from a suspension band. This structure improves the workability of switching and sectioning work and the like of the optical fiber core wire and makes it possible to shorten the working hours.
